The Melitta One:One is a pod coffee maker, using round coffee pods to make one cup of coffee at a time.
The pod coffee making process it uses is much the same as other pod coffee machines like the Senseo. You simply add a single coffee pod to the pod holder beneath the top of the machine, make sure there is water in the reservoir and then press the brew button.
Originally the Melitta One:One was somewhat limited by the fact that it would accept only Melitta One:One javapods, which are smaller in diameter than those used by most other pod brewers.
Now Melitta has seen the light and the One:One has a universal pod holder that accepts other pod sizes, including the most popular size – 62mm.
This means you can now own an Melitta One:One and buy pods from a much broader range of roasters, including Senseo pods from Douwe Egberts.
At the same time, Melitta is demonstrating its own commitment to its brewer by introducing more and more blends in its One:One javapod format.
There are also some teas available in the pod format for this machine.
An improvement over previous models is the size of the water reservoir. It holds 40 ounces of water, almost twice the size of the original One:One.
As with all pod coffee makers, the Melitta One:One will give you a good cup of gourmet coffee at a reasonable price.
